Pony Radio is an ongoing experiment to see how well something similar to GNU Radio can be implemented in Pony, an open-source, object-oriented, actor-model programming language. In particular, I was curious how well Pony's runtime could handle the lower-level aspects of this sort of block-oriented, dataflow application.

So far, I've been really impressed with the results. At some point I'm hoping to be able to measure the relative performance of Pony Radio vs GNU Radio so watch my blog for updates.
